BIO: Dr. Zoghby was born in Cincinnati, OH, the son of an army “JAG” he lived in 17 different houses in GA, AL, MD, CT, and London, England before graduating from high school in San Jose, CA. He earned his DDS, Cum Laude, from the University at Buffalo in New York State in 1986, and completed his residency at MCV/VCU in 1990. He has been part of the COFS team since 1994, and lectures nationally and internationally on a range of oral surgery subjects. Dr. Zoghby often receives the Bedside Manner Award from OurHealth Magazine for Richmond, and is perennially honored as one of the area’s top Oral Surgeons by both Richmond Magazine and Virginia Living Magazine. He and his wife have 5 children between them and they enjoy hiking, camping, cycling, dining, music, art, and theater.

Dr. Mike Miller

BIO: Dr. Miller grew up in Lynchburg, VA. He was awarded his DDS from MCV/VCU School of Dentistry in 1984 where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was also class Valedictorian. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at MCV/VCU in 1988 and has been a COFS surgeon since 1992. Dr. Miller also serves as Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Mary’s Hospital. He annually participates in the Mission of Mercy (MOM) Project, bringing oral surgery care to the underserved in Wise County, VA. He’s perennially recognized with a Top Dentist Award from both Richmond Magazine and Virginia Living Magazine. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, tennis, golf, music, magic, scuba diving, and travel.

Learning Objectives

BIO: Dr. Boxx’s interest in dentistry began during his childhood in Newport News spending time in his father’s dental office. While earning his Bachelors, Cum Laude, from Virginia Tech, he shadowed and assisted an oral surgeon. He received his DDS, Magna Cum Laude, from VCU, where he went on to complete his residency. He joined COFS in 2019. Dr. Boxx participated in over a dozen Mission of Mercy projects throughout dental school and during his residency. He has been honored several times as a top oral surgeon by both Richmond Magazine and Virginia Living Magazine. He enjoys spending time with his wife Emily, a Nurse Practitioner, and their golden retriever, Duke, as well as fishing, boating, camping at the beach, and taking advantage of Richmond’s many hiking trails.
