Biography:
Dr. Harlan A. Schufeldt graduated from the University of Illinois in 1973. He attended Loyola University School of Dentistry, in Maywood, Illinois and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1978. In 1981, Dr. Schufeldt completed his residency and received his certificate of specialty in Prosthodontics from the Veterans Administration Hospital at Hines, Il. He also completed a residency/fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthetics from the Zoller Clinic at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics in 1982. Dr. Schufeldt joined the faculty of Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Dentistry in 1982. He served as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Departments of Orthodontics, Restorative Dentistry, division of Advanced Education of General Dentistry, and the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery until his retirement in 2020. Dr. Schufeldt has lectured extensively on Prosthodontics and Oral and Facial Rehabilitation throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. He has published scientific research articles and papers and serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the Virginia Dental Association. Dr. Schufeldt has been in private practice in Henrico, Va. and Midlothian, Va. specializing in Prosthodontics and Maxillofacial Prosthetics for almost 40 years.
